RT Specialty, a wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products and services and the wholesale broking specialty of Ryan Specialty, announced that it has opened an office in Detroit and hired David Derigiotis as EVP and office president.

Derigiotis joins RT ProExec, RT Specialty’s professional and executive liability practice group. Derigiotis previously served as president of brokerage and head of insurance at Flow Specialty.

Commenting on the hire and new office location, Ed McCormack, CEO of RT Specialty, said, “Detroit has been a rapidly expanding market for RT Specialty, and we are excited to open an office there to further serve our Detroit-area clients.
