Indiana Farmers Insurance plans to enter the Ohio property/casualty insurance market this year.
The Carmel, Indiana-based company, which distributes its products through independent insurance agents, will write commercial lines and farm insurance in Ohio.
“In 2019, we successfully took our first step to becoming a regional carrier with our entry into Illinois,” Kim Smith, president and CEO said in a media release. “Now is the time to continue that journey and we are looking forward to serving farm and business owners in the Buckeye State.”
Indiana Farmers Insurance is a Midwest-based company that writes auto, home, farm, and business insurance. It has been in operation since 1877.
