Pete Anhalt has been promoted to senior vice president of consumer products for Sentry Insurance.
Anhalt will be based in Madison, Wi. He will oversee specialty auto, motorcycle, and standard consumer products.
Anhalt began his career at Viking Insurance in 1994 in the actuarial department, later moving into product management and various leadership roles. He joined Sentry in 2006 when Viking was acquired by Sentry. Since that time he’s held leadership positions in nonstandard auto and motorcycle. Most recently he served as Sentry’s chief planning officer, leading the company’s strategic planning efforts.
Stevens Point-based Sentry is a provider of specialty auto insurance for drivers who have difficulty obtaining standard coverage due to driving records or inconsistent insurance history. The company and its subsidiaries sell property/casualty insurance, life insurance, annuities and retirement programs for business and individuals throughout the country.
