Columbia Insurance Group (CIG) has promoted Shelly DeVore to branch manager of the Columbia, Mo., branch office location.

DeVore has served in a number of key roles in her 12 year career at CIG, including administrative supervisor and policy services supervisor, and most recently, Columbia branch marketing manager and territory manager. She’s earned her AINS, CPCU, AIS and AU insurance designations by the Insurance Institutes of America.

As branch manager, DeVore succeeds Roger Birdsong, who has retired after 16 years with the company.

CIG is headquartered in Columbia and has branch locations in Atlanta, Ga.; Austin, Texas; Omaha, Neb.; Salina, Kan. The Columbia branch office serves independent agents and policyholders in Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.
