Indiana-based Old National Insurance (ONI) has finalized a deal to acquire the employee benefits book of business from Gettings Reed Financial, headquartered in Lafayette, Ind.
The acquisition includes group medical, group dental, group disability and group, according to the company’s announcement. The transition of client accounts is expected to be completed by the first of the year.
Don Carless, employee benefits consultant with Gettings Reed, will join the ONI team, allowing him to continue to service clients whose accounts are transitioning to ONI.
According to Bill Gettings, principal of Gettings Reed, this partnership was driven by the desire to provide enhanced tools, technology and training to the company’s employee benefits clients.
Old National Insurance President and CEO Tom Flynn noted that the partnership significantly enhances ONI’s presence in the Lafayette market.
