Norman-Spencer Agency of Dayton, Ohio, has named Brian Norman as president. The company also announced other appointments to its management team: Porus Austin is now chief operating officer; Pat Malone, in addition to his position of chief financial officer, is director of Boat/Yacht Specialty Division; and Greg Woryk was named chief marketing officer.
Norman, formerly executive vice president of Norman-Spencer, as president is now responsible for carrier relationships, corporate production and agency growth and expansion.
As COO, Austin is responsible for operations, automation and HR for all Norman-Spencer entities. For 20 years, Porus was a partner and owner of Western Marine Insurance Services, which merged with Norman-Spencer in 2008. Austin is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in finance.
Malone’s duties as director of Boat/Yacht Specialty Division will include the nationwide expansion of Westmar’s successful AquaPac boat/yacht program, previously available in a select few western states. Malone, who also serves as CFO, joined Norman-Spencer in 2007 from Liberty Mutual Agency Markets and has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.
As chief marketing officer, Woryk’s responsibilities include strategic marketing and advertising for all of Norman-Spencer’s niche programs. He brings 20 years of experience to his new position and most recently was vice president of Marketing for a 1,200 unit franchise organization.
Norman-Spencer Agency provides property and casualty insurance services to clients countrywide through a dedicated distribution network of over 1,500 agents.
