Two Missouri insurance agents making a routine visit came to the rescue of a 79-year-old St. Louis County man who had fallen two days earlier and couldn’t get help.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Bob Parker and Dave Nelson of CLA-USA were calling Sept. 24 on client Richard Rauch near Florissant.
From inside the house, they heard Rauch yell they should call 911.
Rauch shouted the code to open his garage. Inside, the agents found Rauch wedged between a stair landing and the front door. Rauch said he had fallen down the stairs two days earlier and was unable to get up.
Rauch was treated at a hospital.
