North Dakota’s workers’ compensation agency has extended until Dec. 12 the deadline for people to apply for four open seats on the board of directors.
The agency says it received only six applications, and was hoping for 12.
Officials say potential applicants might have been waiting to see the outcome of a measure on the Nov. 4 general election ballot. Voters approved putting the governor in charge of appointing the director of the Workforce Safety and Insurance Agency.
