Lansing, Mich.-based Accident Fund Insurance Co. of America announced the appointment of Steven C. Hess as executive vice president and general counsel of the company.
After 15 years as general counsel of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and 20 years as a Blues employee, Hess remains with the Blues enterprise, continuing to share his expertise but closer to his East Lansing home and family. Accident Fund is a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
The appointment is effective August 2. Accident Fund offers workers’ compensation in Michigan and 30 other states.
