Westfield Center, Ohio-based Westfield Group launched a new Internet-based, automated policy processing system which enables the company’s agents in Michigan and Tennessee to quote, underwrite, issue, and endorse Businessowners Policies (BOPs) from their offices.
Project executive Jim Chapman explained that BOP writings have increased dramatically since the new system launched, going up 600 percent in BOP quotes and 125 percent in new policies issued. The ease of use of this new system speaks for itself with 80 percent of all quotes being entered and processed by our agents.
Westfield plans to launch its new system for BOP products in six additional states, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Minnesota by the end of 2002.
In business for more than 150 years, Westfield Group conducts property and casualty insurance through independent insurance agencies in 16 states.
