Insurance broker Marsh announced the appointment of Louise Nevill as chief executive officer for Marsh JLT Specialty’s UK Marine & Cargo business.
Nevill is expected to join the firm early next year and will report to Paul Moody, UK CEO, Marsh JLT Specialty, and Marcus Baker, global head of Marine & Cargo, Marsh JLT Specialty.
In this role, Nevill will assume overall responsibility for teams that consist of more than 200 colleagues in London, Norwich, and Birmingham.
A highly experienced marine insurance expert, Nevill will join Marsh from Gard (UK) Ltd., where as vice president she led the marine underwriting team. Nevill was previously the director of Underwriting at WRB Underwriting, Lloyd’s Syndicate 1967, where she established the marine business from scratch in 2010. Prior to that, she was head of Marine and Energy at Talbot Underwriting.
