CNA Hardy, a London-based specialist commercial insurance provider for clients within the Lloyd’s and company markets, announced the appointment of Alec Goodair as UK financial institutions (FI) manager and Suzannah Bazell as FI underwriter.
Reporting to John Taylor, head of Specialty Underwriting, Goodair will be responsible for the strategic development of the combined syndicate and company UK FI portfolio. Supporting Goodair, Bazell will focus on driving profitable growth across a diverse book of UK and international risks, the company said in a statement.
Both Goodair and Bazell join CNA Hardy from Allied World (AWAC) where Goodair was Financial Institutions manager and Bazell was Financial Institutions senior underwriter. Prior to joining AWAC, Goodair held a senior financial lines position at ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ after his move into underwriting from broking, having spent the earlier part of his career at Aon and Marsh.
“I am delighted to welcome both Alec and Suzannah to CNA Hardy, who join us at an exciting time for our Financial Institutions team after we have expanded our offering across both Lloyd’s and company platforms over the last year,” said Patrick Gage, chief underwriting officer at CNA Hardy.
