Everest Re Group Ltd. has appointed Sean Berry as vice president and head of the Reinsurance Division’s International Property Facultative unit.
Based in Everest Re’s Miami office, Berry will be responsible for worldwide property facultative underwriting, excluding business written out of Canada.
He joins Everest with more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently as regional vice president with ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in Latin America. He previously led the property underwriting practice for ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ and General Reinsurance Co. in the Far East, accumulating more than 20 years’ experience in overseas underwriting operations.
Ron Diaz, senior vice president and head of International, commented: “We are excited to have someone with Sean’s background joining us in this role. His skills and extensive experience are a welcome addition to the team. Together with Bill Breslin, head of our International Casualty Facultative Practice, we are steadily expanding our ability to better serve our client needs in the facultative space.”
