Marsh announced that Nick Durant will assume leadership of Marsh’s Global Captive Solutions Practice, effective July 1, 2016.
In this role, Durant will have oversight of Marsh’s captive solutions business, which manages more than 1,250 captives worldwide.
Durant will be based in New York and report to John Drzik, president of Marsh’s Global Risk & Specialties division. He succeeds Chris Lay, who has been named president and CEO of Marsh Canada.
Durant brings 20 years of reinsurance and analytics experience to his new role having most recently served as Marsh’s global analytics sales leader. Prior to joining Marsh in 2012, he spent 14 years with Guy Carpenter in various leadership positions.
“Strategic advice and capital-based solutions have never been more critical for our captive clients,” Drzik said. “I am confident that Nick’s leadership will help us build on our current growth momentum and accelerate our innovation of new solutions.”
