International General Insurance Holdings (IGIH)* has appointed Chris Mauduit as head of professional indemnity (PI) at its London business IGI UK.
Mauduit has 35 years’ experience and joins from Catlin where he worked since 2003, setting up the company’s PI and directors & officers (D&O) business. He managed the Professional and Financial Lines business group for eight years, and in 2014 he also looked after the regional PI and D&O operation.
Mauduit started his career in 1980 working for Sedgwick International Insurance Brokers. Prior to Catlin, he was the PI underwriting manager at The Underwriter Insurance Company.
“I am delighted that we have managed to attract someone with Chris’s caliber, experience and market knowledge to the IGI team,” said Andreas Loucaides, chief executive officer of IGI UK. “Under Chris’s leadership, we will look to add profitable growth in this class whilst continuing to provide first class service to our brokers and clients.”
* IGIH, which is registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) with operations in Bermuda, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, and London, reported net profits of $16.2 million in the first half of 2015 and shareholder equity of $279.3 million.
