International General Insurance Holdings (IGIH) appoints Simon Curtis as chief financial officer at its IGI UK business in London as part of moves to grow the UK operation.
Curtis has more than 20 years’ experience in accountancy and insurance, most recently at AmTrust at Lloyd’s, where he was interim head of finance. He has worked previously at Ernst & Young, Atrium Underwriting and Insurance Management Services. Subject to regulatory approval, Curtis will join the board of IGI UK.
“I am pleased to welcome Simon to the team and look forward to him playing an important role as our UK business continues to grow,” said Andreas Loucaides, chief executive officer of IGI UK.
In June 2015, Standard & Poor’s assigned IGI UK an “A-” financial strength rating and affirmed its “A-” long-term counter-party credit and insurer strength rating of its Bermuda-based parent, International General Insurance Co. Ltd. (IGI Bermuda). It also assigned a stable outlook on both companies.
International General Insurance Holdings Limited (IGIH) is registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) with operations in Bermuda, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco and a wholly owned subsidiary in the UK.
