Ryan Specialty Group (RSG), the specialty insurance services business based in Chicago, has hired Peter McKenna in a new senior role to oversee the development of the company MGA strategy in the UK market.
McKenna, who joined RSG from ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, will be based in London and report to Mike Rice Sr., chairman of RSG Underwriting Managers.
Rice explained that while the group’s new foothold in London will “help expand our presence in Europe and the Middle East initially; in the longer term we may also look to Latin and South America and Asia.”
Before joining RSG, McKenna spent 12 years in a variety of senior roles at ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in the USA, Canada and the UK, most recently as head of financial lines, EMEA, where between 2012-2014 he led a change program.
