ANV Syndicate 5820 announced the appointment of Brian Armstrong as Head of Affinity Accident and Health (A&H) to develop and grow the (A&H) portfolio in the Affinity market.
He “will be responsible for building the A&H book of business within the Syndicate’s Consumer Products franchise,” ANV said. Armstrong joins ANV from Zurich where he was UK A&H Products and Proposition Manager. Previously he held senior A&H management and underwriting positions at Zurich, QBE and ACE.
“Brian’s appointment confirms ANV’s commitment to continuing the growth of our affinity based A&H business and building on our reputation for delivering flexible, bespoke and relevant solutions to the affinity group market,” said Chris Biles, Active Underwriter at ANV Syndicate 5820. “He will bring a fresh perspective to the team and additional knowledge that will boost our market capabilities.”
ANV Syndicate 5820 underwrites consumer products, property & casualty, political risk & terror and political & credit risk business. In addition to writing standalone non-life products, the Syndicate’s Consumer Products team works with ANV Syndicate 779 to create blended solutions for affinity and group schemes which incorporate an element of life cover.
