Wholesale insurance and reinsurance broker Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford (CGSC) has appointed Carlos Reis as commercial director of CGSC Holdings Brasil.
Based in Brazil and reporting to Fabio Basilone, CEO of CGSC Holdings Brasil, Reis will work as part of the management team to develop the company’s profile and business in the region.
The company said his appointment is part of the integration into CGSC Holdings Brasil of NMB Brasil Corretora de Resseguros Ltda, of which Reis was the chief executive, following the recent acquisition by CGSC of the NMB Group. Based in London and with reinsurance operations in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, NMB is particularly well known in the Brazilian market for its marine and offshore-petroleum reinsurance expertise.
