Starr International Co. has acquired Assist-Card International Holdings S.A. and expanded its offerings to include travel and emergency assistant services.
Assist-Card provides these travel services to more than 7 million people through a network of providers spanning 107 countries.
“This acquisition will help broaden opportunities for Starr throughout our portfolio,” said Ed Navarro, head of international operations for Starr.
Assist-Card has assistance hubs in Madrid, Spain; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Miami, Fla.; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bogota, Colombia; Lima, Peru; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Seoul, South Korea; and more than 60 assistance centers around the globe.
Alexia Keglevich, Assist-Card’s CEO, will remain at the position and report to Navarro.
