MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS said it had “insured both the launch phase of the satellite and its first year in orbit.
“The H1E satellite, built by LORAL SPACE and owned by the communications operator HISPASAT, will have a 15-year span life and will provide a wide range of communications services, mainly direct-to-home (DTH) television and, more specifically, high definition channels, as well as bandwidth mobile services. The coverage of the satellite will extend to Europe, America and Northern Africa.”
With the launch of this new satellite, HISPASAT has seven satellites in orbit, the launches of which were all insured by MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS.
