BrokersLink, a major independent insurance broker alliance whose members manage premium volumes in excess of $10 billion, has appointed Juan Ignacio Casanueva, Chairman of the Casanueva Perez Group in Mexico, to its board of directors.
The bulletin said he would “be instrumental in strengthening the already strong presence in the Latin American market, thus reinforcing BrokersLink’s commitment to this market” He replaces Mauricio Esquino who is stepping down from the board after two years to focus his efforts on building the Casanueva Perez broking group.
“CP Group is a very strong player in the Mexican is market, owning seven companies from the insurance sector. Interproteccion, the second larger retail broker in Mexico, and Reasinter, the second largest reinsurance broker in the country, are among them.” It also noted that Casanueva “has redesigned its operating model, strengthened the already high service standards and committed further to the social development of Mexico. In addition, he changed the organization from a family company into a group with a strong corporate governance structure.
