Chartis has appointed Makoto Ozeki to the newly created position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of Chartis Far East Holdings, which services Japan and Korea. Ozeki will be responsible for overseeing group business operations for Chartis’ Japan insurance companies, including AIU Insurance Co. Japan Branch, American Home Assurance Co. Japan Branch and JI Accident & Fire Insurance Co.

Ozeki joins Chartis from Zurich Insurance Co. Japan, where he served as CEO. Prior to joining Zurich, he served in a variety of executive positions within ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in Japan and Korea.
