Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC announced that it has named Chris McKeown as Chief Executive Officer of Global Analytical and Specialty Practices. He will be responsible for Guy Carpenter’s Instrat® modeling and actuarial group, the company’s Line of Business Specialties and the Rating Agency, ERM Advisory and Business Intelligence units. He will also be responsible for managing Guy Carpenter’s relationships with several key reinsurance markets.
McKeown will report to Peter Zaffino, President and CEO of Guy Carpenter and will join the company’s Executive Committee. Zaffino noted that McKeown has “more than 20 years,” of experience in the industry, and is “an excellent addition to our executive team.”
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, McKeown served as President and CEO of CIG Reinsurance Limited, which he founded in 2004, and New Castle Reinsurance Company, which he established a year later. Before joining CIG in 2004, he held several executive positions with ACE Tempest Reinsurance Limited from 1998 to 2002, lastly as President and CEO.
