W. R. Berkley Corporation announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Oslo, Norway-based NEMI Forsikring ASA, which focuses on specialty lines of insurance.
The terms of the letter of intent were not disclosed and Berkley said “any agreed-upon transaction would be subject to the completion of final due diligence, execution of a definitive purchase agreement and receipt of required regulatory approvals.
“NEMI has provided specialty insurance protection since 1989.”
