Bermuda-based PartnerRe Ltd. announced that William Babcock has been appointed as the Group’s Finance Director. He will report to CFO Albert Benchimol, and will have overall responsibility for Group finance functions, including Group Finance and Reporting, Treasury and Group Tax.
Babcock “brings with him 15 years of professional experience, both in public accounting and the reinsurance industry, most recently as Chief Accounting Officer and Director of Financial Operations at Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.,” said the announcement. “Prior to Endurance, he spent four years as an underwriter in the nontraditional reinsurance division at Converium. Before that, Bill was a senior manager at KPMG, servicing insurance and capital markets clients.”
