Willis Group Holdings has appointed Alena Watchorn to its Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group as an Executive Director. She joins Willis from HSBC Insurance Brokers, where she headed up the corporate finance team and simultaneously built an environmental insurance advisory team.
Willis said Watchorn is “regarded as one of the most experienced brokers of warranty and indemnity insurance in the London market and her area of expertise lies in the development of transactional insurance products, advising on buy-side warranty insurance placements, bespoke tax insurances and insurance-backed transactions.” At Willis she will “be focussing on broadening and strengthening the relationships Willis has with M&A clients and their advisers.”
Alistair Lester, International Practice Leader, Willis Mergers & Acquisitions, indicated that Watchorn’s “arrival represents Willis’ commitment to bringing together the best talent from within and without our industry and will strengthen our capabilities even further within the M&A sector.”
