A.M. Best Co. has commented that the financial strength rating of “B++” (Good) and the issuer credit rating of “bbb” of Germany’s Wurttembergische und Badische Versicherungs-AG (WUBA) remain unchanged following the announcement that a subsidiary of American International Group Inc (ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½) intends to acquire the company from entities associated with J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC ( See IJ web site Aug. 10). Best said it would “review any prospective rating enhancement from WUBA being a member of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ once WUBA has been fully integrated and A.M. Best has had the opportunity to discuss its future strategy in Germany with ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s management.”
