American International Group, Inc. has named Rodney O. Martin, Jr. as chief operating officer of its worldwide life insurance business.
Martin will remain chairman, president and chief executive officer of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ American General Life Companies and ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ executive vice president of life insurance, reporting to Edmund S.W. Tse, ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ senior vice chairman of life Insurance.
In his new position, Martin will focus on the growth and expansion of
ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s life insurance business around the world.
Martin was elected ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ executive vice president of life insurance in 2002. He was named president and CEO of the ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ American General Life Companies following ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½’s acquisition of American General Corporation in 2001.
