Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc., the global risk and reinsurance specialist of the Marsh & McLennan Companies, announced that Eric Excoffier has joined its Property Specialty Practice as Senior VP and Practice Leader in Europe.
He will be based in Paris and report directly to Tim Gardner, Global Leader of Guy Carpenter’s Property Specialty Practice.
“Eric’s market knowledge and product expertise will be instrumental as we develop effective property reinsurance solutions for our clients and expand our property operations throughout Europe,” Gardner commented. “Eric brings a wealth of practical experience, creativity and extensive relationships to Guy Carpenter, and we would like to welcome him as a senior member of our outstanding team.”
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Excoffier was General Manager and lead underwriter at Ascot Paris, where was responsible for managing the firm’s worldwide property book. Previously, he was a Sr. VP with AXA Re Paris, where he managed the company’s U.S. reinsurance zone and business in Scandinavia and Germany.
