French insurer Axa is seeking further acquisitions on the European continent, but according to a statement by CEO Henri de Castries it is not looking to purchase Italy’s Generali, Reuters has reported.
“That is not on the agenda,” he said.
Castries also cast doubt upon rumors that Axa and German insurer Allianz had agreed that neither would purchase Generali.
