ACE European Markets Insurance Limited (AEMI) announced the appointment of Stephen French to the position of branch manager of its London office. French will also retain his current responsibilities as property underwriting manager for AEMI.
In his expanded leadership role, French will continue to develop AEMI’s property business and oversee the development of other lines of business within the London branch office.
French, who has over 20 years experience in the industry, previously served as senior vice president in ACE’s International Representative Office in London. He joined ACE in 1995 from Chubb Insurance Company of Europe where he held the position of UK Manager of domestic and international property business. He previously held positions at American International Underwriters, Gerling Konzern and Phoenix Assurance Company.
AEMI is a subsidiary of ACE Bermuda Insurance Ltd., a Bermuda-based member of the ACE Group of Companies. AEMI commenced operations in Dublin in 1997, and established its London branch office in 2000. AEMI is capitalized to U.S. $100 million.
