Bermuda’s Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. announced the appointment of John T. Baily, former head of Swiss Re Capital Partners, from 1999 to 2002, to its Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Swiss Re, Baily was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (and its predecessor, Coopers & Lybrand) for 23 years, serving as the head of the Coopers & Lybrand Insurance Practice Group. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Erie Indemnity Company, NYMAGIC, Inc., GAB Robins, and Albright College.
Endurance Chairman and CEO Kenneth J. LeStrange stated, “We are pleased to welcome John to the Board of Directors. John’s accounting expertise and depth of insurance industry knowledge will certainly be an asset to our company, and we look forward to his contributions to Endurance.”
