Endurance Specialty Holdings announced that its Bermuda operating subsidiary, Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd., has appointed William Fawcett as Senior VP, Head of Claims, responsible for managing the company’s global book of claims and claim personnel.

Fawcett is both a claims expert and attorney with over 15 years of technical insurance and reinsurance claim handling experience. He began his career with the law firms of Anderson Parkinson Weinberg & Miller and Bromley, Brown & Walsh as a trial attorney, and subsequently became in-house counsel with St. Paul Insurance, where he was promoted through progressively more responsible technical claims and legal positions, including Group Counsel. Prior to joining Endurance, Fawcett was Deputy General Counsel and Managing Director of Swiss Re in Zurich.
