The World Trade Organization in Geneva announced that it was postponing meetings on China’s admission to the world body until next week as a result of the terrorist attacks on the U.S.
Informal talks, concentrating on resolving the differences between the European Union and ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ over its privileged position in China’s life insurance market, will continue, a WTO spokesman indicated.
Taiwan’s pending admission to the WTO was also put off until next week, and will be considered if and when China is admitted.
