Tennessee-based Selectsys, an insurtech specializing in business process outsourcing for insurers, has acquired Expert Insured, an artificial intelligence-led insurance management system for wholesalers, carriers and managing general agents. Terms were not disclosed.
With headquarters in Boston, Expert Insured also has a new CEO. Spencer McDonald was previously with McKinsey & Co. and specializes in AI-driven Insurtech solutions, the companies said in a news release. Expert said it utilizes AI-enhanced workflows and management tools to automate processes and improve efficiency for insurance companies.
Selectsys, with offices in Knoxville, Tennessee, has been around for more than 20 years, providing business processing and tech for MGAs and wholesalers, the company said.
