World Insurance Associates LLC (WIA), acquired Countywide Insurance Agency of Jefferson Valley, N.Y., on July 1, 2020. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Countywide Insurance Agency provides insurance products for individuals and businesses in New York and Florida.
WIA is headquartered in Tinton Falls, N.J., and is a full-service insurance brokerage providing asset and lifestyle protection with risk management, insurance and benefit consulting services for individuals and businesses. Since its founding in 2012, WIA has completed 71 acquisitions and serves its customers from 53 offices in 13 states and Washington, D.C.
Robert Strauss joined WIA as manager of the Countywide Insurance Agency unit following the transaction.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to WIA. Legal counsel for Countywide Insurance Agency was Veneruso, Curto, Schwartz, and Curto LLP. Policastro & Associates advised Countywide Insurance Agency on the transaction. No other advisors or diligence firms were disclosed.
