Authorities say no injuries were reported when a fast-moving fire damaged about a dozen units at a Bernards, N.J., condominium complex. Authorities say it started in a rear unit and isn’t considered suspicious.
The fire at the Society Hill at Bernards II complex was reported around 2 p.m. Monday. Firefighters from Bernards and several nearby towns battled the blaze for about 45 minutes before it was contained. It broke out in a building that contains 20 units overall.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Authorities say most residents will likely be able to return to their units by Monday night, but others could be displaced for an unknown amount of time.
