Delaware Insurance Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart announced that she has named Jerry Grant as communications director for the Department of Insurance.
Grant spent nine years with the Democratic Caucus in the Delaware House of Representatives, the last two as deputy chief of staff. Since February he has served as analyst for the bipartisan Joint Sunset Committee in the state’s General Assembly.
Grant practiced as an attorney in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before starting work in the Delaware House of Representatives in 2005. He has also hosted a radio show on the University of Delaware’s WVUD 91.3FM for 34 years.
