Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings, appointed Jeffery Beneville as senior vice president and producer, Willis North America’s marine practice, focusing on the yacht business.
In this role, Beneville will be responsible for business development in the yacht division, which places insurance for 24 of the world’s 100 largest luxury yachts. He will work to expand Willis’ footprint in this highly specialized marketplace.
In addition, Beneville will work closely with Willis’ private client group in order to provide customized personal insurance services to affluent and high net worth individuals and their families. He will report to Nancy Poppe, leader of the North American yacht division, Willis marine practice.
Based in Newport, R.I., Beneville has more than 25 years of experience in marine insurance. Prior to joining Willis, he served as managing director, Aon Risk Services Companies. He has also held leadership roles at Marsh Inc. and Camper & Nicholsons International. In addition, Beneville is member of the New York Yacht Club and has participated in two America’s Cup campaigns.
