CNA Financial Corp. has appointed Cheryl Paton as assistant vice president for umbrella insurance. She joins CNA’s New York office, and will be leading the umbrella teams for both the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Zones.
Paton brings extensive industry experience to this role including 19 years in umbrella and excess. She comes to CNA from Navigators Management Company, where she served as vice president of excess casualty, responsible for starting and growing their umbrella and excess book of business with retail producers in the New York territory.
Prior to this role, she held positions of increasing responsibility in both claim and underwriting throughout her 19 years with Chartis.
Serving businesses and professionals since 1897, Chicago-headquartered CNA is the country’s seventh-largest commercial insurance writer and the 13th-largest property/casualty company.
CNA’s insurance products include standard commercial lines, specialty lines, surety, marine and other property and casualty coverages. CNA’s services include risk management, information services, underwriting, risk control and claims administration.
