Atlanta-based insurance brokerage and risk management firm Beecher Carlson has named John Borch as an accounting manager in its National Captive Practice. He will be based in the company’s Burlington, Vermont office and report to Peter A. Kranz, senior vice president of the National Captive Practice. Borch will serve East coast domiciles.
Borch has more than 12 years of experience in the captive insurance industry. Prior to joining Beecher Carlson, Borch served as a controller at The Sporn Co. Inc. where he was responsible for managing all accounts, preparing monthly financial statements and managing the overall direction of the accounting department. Before The Sporn Co. Inc., Borch was the president of Champlain Captive Management for four years where he focused on business development and the oversight of all operations. During this time, he also served as officer and a director for 15 wholly-owned insurance company subsidiaries. Borch was also a senior accountant at ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ Insurance Management Services and an account manager at Marsh Management Services.
