Wells Fargo Insurance Services — part of Wells Fargo & Company — appointed Joseph Cathcart as managing director for its Philadelphia operations.
In his role, Cathcart will oversee all operations for the regional offices, including sales and client service, market relations, employee development and overall growth and financial performance. Based in Philadelphia, Cathcart will report to Mark Susco, regional managing director for Wells Fargo Insurance Services, East region.
Cathcart has two decades’ experience in the insurance industry, serving in a variety of roles, including sales, client management, and office leadership.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was vice president and division manager for Philadelphia operations at brokerage firm Thomas Rutherfoord. He spent seven years as a commercial banker before joining the insurance industry. He holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
Wells Fargo Insurance Services (formerly Acordia) provides insurance brokerage and administrative services, as well as financial and consulting services. It is the fifth-largest insurance brokerage and the largest bank-owned insurance brokerage in the United States.
