Philadelphia Insurance Cos. (PHLY) has promoted John Glomb to chief underwriting officer.

Glomb, a 15-year veteran of the insurance and financial services industry, most recently serving as senior vice president of underwriting. He joined PHLY in 2007 as senior vice president of the management and professional liability division. In 2009, he took on responsibility for PHLY’s entire underwriting department as senior vice president.

He has also held positions with Banc of America Securities ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½.
