New York-based program manager Insight Catastrophe Group has launched a new division that will provide identity theft programs to personal and commercial lines insurance carriers.
The new program includes two supplemental covers: a personal lines product designed to protect a named insured and immediate family and a corporate product to protect business owners, employees and the business itself.
Insight’s personal program includes coverage for identity recovery, expense reimbursement and identity monitoring. The corporate program encompasses data security, corporate identity protection, cyber liability coverage, breach remediation services and coverage for individual owners and employees.
The new division, Insight Specialty Programs, will be led by Thomas Harms. Harms recently joined Insight as senior vice president of Insight Specialty Programs. He previously served as senior vice president at Aon Benfield’s program division, and has held prior positions with Braishfield Associates, Ardent Risk Services and Alexander Re.
In addition to focusing on identity theft, Mr. Harms will work with MGAs, associations and affinity groups to find issuing carriers and create new programs.
