The Delaware House has passed a bill prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation.
The bill approved Thursday covers discrimination in housing, employment, public works contracting, public accommodations, and insurance. It faces an uncertain future in the Senate, where similar measures have died in recent years.
Also Thursday, a proposed constitutional amendment to limit marriage in Delaware to the union of one man and one woman was defeated in the state Senate.
