Worcester, Mass.-based The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. has appointed Alan Crater vice president of its Northeast marine team.
In addition, Elaine Bartolini has joined The Hanover as assistant regional vice president for inland marine.
Crater, who has served in various leadership roles throughout The Hanover since 2004, will lead the northeast marine team, which includes both the New England and Metro territories. In addition, Crater’s broader responsibilities will include working with The Hanover’s company-wide marine organization on product development and other key initiatives. He will continue to work out of the company’s Somerset, N.J. office.
Bartolini will assume responsibility for The Hanover’s New England territory, working with the company’s team of experienced marine specialists to deliver customized coverages for agents. She will work out of the company’s headquarters in Worcester. She comes to The Hanover from OneBeacon Insurance where she was responsible for marketing and underwriting the company’s inland marine products in a four-state region.
