Woodbridge, N.J.-based NIP Programs, a division of NIP Group Inc., announced that Timothy O’Connor has joined the management team as a program manager.
As program manager, O’Connor is responsible for the growth and profitability of the GrowPro insurance program within NIP Programs and reports directly to Dave Springer the divisional president.
O’Connor has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. He comes to NIP Programs from Discover Re (a Travelers Group company) where he was second vice president, responsible for the production and underwriting of loss sensitive casualty business in the New York City regional office.
Prior to that, he co-founded and served as managing principal for Jacon SRA (Strategic Risk Alternatives), an insurance and reinsurance consulting firm working with large regional brokerage companies as an outsourced risk management department for their clients and prospects. O’Connor also worked for 12 years with Commercial Risk Re-Insurance a specialty reinsurer focused on loss frequency layer casualty business where he was responsible for national marketing. He has a B.A. from Georgetown University.
