American International Group President and Chief Operating Officer Evan G. Greenberg resigned Sept. 19 from the company “to pursue other interests.” The reason for Evan Greenberg’s departure was not made immediately available. Evan is the second Greenberg son to leave the New York-based company in recent years. His brother, Jeffrey, resigned as executive vice president of ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½ in 1995 to join Marsh & McLennan Cos., where he is now president and CEO. In a statement issued by ÌìÃÀÍøÕ¾´«Ã½´«Ã½, Chairman Maurice R. Greenberg said: “We wish Evan the very best in his future endeavors.”
