An article in the Aug. 14 issue of IJTexas should have indicated that TurboRaters’ web-based system was initially offered in only two states. Technical difficulties experienced with the software upon its 1999 release were corrected and were in no way related to some of the issues a handful of agents have experienced with the program recently. The company’s DOS-based system will remain available until all agents feel comfortable with the current Windows-based system, which will not be tweaked or re-launched.
Also, an article in the July 24 issue should have stated that Mendota Insurance Co. is offering agents 10 and 8 percent commission options for personal auto coverages.
